Adopt Your Own Wintertude

Adopt Your Own Wintertude

Now that the joyous events of December have passed, along with all the partying, feasting, the hassle, the bustle that kept adrenaline high, now comes January, with its long, dreary, cold winter days that imprisons many indoors. Local and world Politics, dismal health, disaster and precarious economic forecasts ringing in the airways only add to the doom and gloom scenario that is January. Is it any wonder a fortunate crew cast aside winter’s cloak and, fashioning themselves after the migrating birds, flock to hot and sunny destinations in droves to escape and regenerate?

Or we can practice meditation and Zen…. That too is liberating.

Adapt Your Own Wintertude (11)

Without going out of my door

I can know all things on earth.

Without looking out of my window

I can know the ways of heaven.

For the farther one travels,

The less one knows.

The sage therefore

Arrives without travelling,

Sees all without looking,

Does all without doing.

-Lao Tzu, Tao te Ching

Best of luck to you all.
